Built on Experience

I've been a professional photographer for more than ten years, but when I moved back to Nova Scotia in 2022, I wasn't looking for clients. I was looking for community.

That led me to the Wolfville Business Development Corporation's business photography program. At the time, participation was limited and businesses weren't making much use of the opportunity. Drawing on my experience in commercial and branding photography, I helped reshape the program around what businesses actually needed: simple booking, practical deliverables, flexible usage rights, and professional marketing images they could put to work immediately.

Over the following four years, I worked with dozens of businesses throughout the Annapolis Valley, helping them create professional imagery for their websites, social media, advertising, media features, promotional materials, and marketing campaigns. Along the way, I developed a streamlined process that combined planning, content strategy, image delivery, gallery management, commercial licensing, and long-term image access.

The result wasn't just better photos. It was a better experience for busy business owners.

As participation grew, the program evolved into one of WBDC's most popular member offerings, helping businesses refresh their marketing, strengthen their brands, and tell their stories.

Through that experience, I learned something important: businesses don't need complicated processes, waitlists, or endless back-and-forth. They need professional photos, a straightforward experience, and someone who understands how those images will actually be used.

Valley Business Photos is the natural evolution of that experience.

It's built on more than a decade of professional photography, four years of working directly with Valley businesses, and a simple belief that great photography should be useful, accessible, and easy to put to work.
